Come join us in beautiful, historic New Bern NC to run one of our area's only 10 Mile road races. Not up for 10 Miles? We've got a 5K too! This race is part of a weekend festival in New Bern that commemorates George Washington's spring of 1791, visit to New Bern, NC as part of his "Southern Tour." His goals for the tour were to personally observe the condition of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia and assure himself of the strength of the newly formed United States of America in this region.
In addition to two great race courses, t-shirts and other great swag for all participants, there will be awards for the top 3 male/female overall winners of the 5K & 10 Miler and 10 Miler participants will receive a finishers' medal. Age group breakdowns for awards for both races will be: 10&Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70+. There is a $5 Military discount with the promo code MILITARY.

All proceeds from Washington’s Southern Tour will be used by the New Bern Preservation Foundation, Inc. in support of its preservation projects including restoration work on The Depot.
